The found footage horror genre just won’t die, whether you like it or not, and the first trailer for The Pyramid is just further proof. Produced by Alexandre Aja and serving as the directorial debut of Gregory Levasseur, the writer behind High Tension as well as the Maniac and The Hills Have Eyes remakes, The Pyramid follows a group of archaeologists who discover a lost pyramid in the Egyptian desert and upon entering it find themselves hunted by an unknown predator.

The trailer below surprisingly isn’t half bad, but we’ll certainly have our official verdict when it hits theaters December 5th.
