While I have yet to check out FX’s horror anthology television series American Horror Story, the concept that showrunner Ryan Murphy has come up with for season four may just change that. The freaks are coming!

American Horror Story: Freak Show is set in the town of Jupiter, Florida in the year 1952 and will center around “a troupe of curiosities” whose arrival in town coincides with “the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike.”

FX has unveiled the first (incredibly brief) teaser for the series which is set to debut October 8th at 10pm and will feature many veterans of the series such as Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and Emma Roberts, as well as bringing Michael Chiklis into the fold for the first time.
