Filmmaker Christopher Nolan has created quite the reputation in Hollywood. His breakthrough film, Memento, let la-la land know he was a director to be reckoned with, and it wasn’t long after that that he became a household name with his Batman trilogy. His next film, Interstellar, will be hitting theaters this November and after a fantastic teaser that was released back in December, Paramount Pictures has now released its first full trailer for the big-screen cosmic adventure.
Interstellar stars Matthew McConaughey as a family man named Cooper who is part of a group of space explorers who “make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.” McConaughey is joined in the fantastic cast by Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, Mackenzie Foy, John Lithgow, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo and Matt Damon.
The new trailer highlights what looks to be the emotional core of the film and I for one am very much looking forward to a Nolan film that seems to be of a different flavor when compared to his usual, blockbuster efforts. The cinematography from Hoyte Van Hoytema looks fantastic and the father-daughter relationship between McConaughey and Foy looks to be an emotionally resonant part of a film that will no doubt deliver when it comes to its intergalactic set-pieces.
Interstellar hits theaters November 7, 2014. Check out the trailer below.
