‘Supernatural’ Receives A Spin-Off Series ‘Bloodlines’, Full Cast Is Revealed
The CW’s successful Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals has apparently caused them to make a spin-off of their most popular show, Supernatural. The new spinoff series is entitled Supernatural: Bloodlines. Ditching Sam and Dean, the show follows the various Mafia-llke monster families that, unknowingly to humans, “run” the underbelly of Chicago. They are being tracked by a newly-minted Hunter (Lucien Laviscount), who wants to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.
The main cast consists of Nathaniel Buzolic, Lucien Laviscount, Sean Faris, Danielle Savr, Stephen Martine and the newly announced actress Melissa Roxburgh has filled out the remaining spot, who has previously appeared in the Supernatural Season 7 episode “Time After Time”. There will be a tie-in Supernatural: Bloodlines backdoor pilot, much like they did with The Vampire Diaries, which will appear in Episode 9.20 of Supernatural on April 29th.
I am a huge fan of the Supernatural series, so it will be interesting to see if they can match the success of their other spin-off series The Originals. Also, Supernatural is largely popular based upon the awesome relationship between the two brothers, Sam and Dean, so will the characters resonate the same way that those two characters do?
