‘Suspiria’ Blu-Ray Announced
About damn time! Dario Argento’s classic film Suspiria, which has been covered in this years Halloween Hit List, is widely known and praised for both it’s cinematography and imaginative color use. Well, prepare to have your eyes bleed with the release of the classic film on Blu-ray, thanks to Synapse Films, Inc. acquisition of the North American home video rights to 1977’s Suspiria.
Described as “one of the scariest films of all time” by Entertainment Weekly, for those of you that have yet to see Suspiria, it’s about a young girl caught up in a coven of witches while attending a German dance academy. The Blu-Ray is set for a possible 2014-15 video release, because according to President of Synapse Films Donald May Jr., “It’s important to spend as much time as possible to create the definitive high-definition home video version for the fans. We’re going to take our time with this one.” Final specifications, retail pricing, and extras for the Synapse Films release of Suspiria will be announced closer to the as yet to be determined release date.
