That ‘Deadpool’ Movie Is Finally Coming, Set For Release February 2016
The rumors of 20th Century Fox making a Deadpool movie have been off and on for years now. Over the course of the last few days, rumors have been running rampant about a possible Deadpool cameo in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse as well as the possibility of Kick-Ass 2 helmer Jeff Wadlow taking over directing duties. Well we now have confirmation that Fox is officially moving forward with Deadpool.
While there is no deal yet set for the previously announced Ryan Reynolds to star as Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool, the folks over at The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that the originally announced Tim Miller will be directing the film and it will officially be released February 12, 2016.
While nothing else is officially known at this time, you should definitely take this opportunity to check out the fantastic demo reel that leaked earlier this Summer. It truly captures the essence of the Merc with a Mouth and you can check it out below.
Fox has also taken this opportunity to remove Assassin’s Creed from its originally scheduled release date of August 7, 2015 (it won’t be ready), which will be filled by Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four, moving from its previous June 19 release date.
