Victor Salva has been working for ten years to get a third installment of his Jeepers Creepers franchise off the ground.   The first film, which I enjoyed, was a hit both in theaters and on the home video market.   The second film, which I personally hated,  grossed $63 million worldwide on a budget of $17 million.

It’s surprising then that it has taken this long for it to happen, although there have been many reported false starts for the production. But now it seems like there may finally be some movement on Jeepers Creepers 3.  According to Shock Till You Drop and Bloody Disgusting, Salva may finally get to make his film (apparently titled Cathedral) soon.

Salva reportedly shot a scene back in October to prepare for filming and has a script ready to go. Plot, casting, and production details are unknown. Salva had this to say about it, “There may finally be some very good news for those waiting for the third Jeepers film to go before the cameras.”

Now there are reports that Jeepers Creepers 3 is very close to filming, with Ray Wise and Jonathan Breck (who played The Creeper in the previous films) rumored to be onboard.   We’ll keep you posted on any news regarding the third Jeepers Creepers as we hear about it.  I just hope that it will be better than the shitty second film.
