‘The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies’ Gets First Trailer, Poster
Comic-Con is truly the gift that just keeps on giving. We’ve already brought you the trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road, the Season 5 trailer for The Walking Dead, and the first look at Kevin Smith’s latest low budget horror, but we now have the first trailer and poster for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, which will bring the entire Middle-Earth franchise to its conclusion.
While reaction has been mixed at best to the first two Hobbit films, we’ll just have to see if Jackson can capture some of that LOTR magic and bring this trilogy to a fittingly epic end. I enjoyed An Unexpected Journey more than most, while The Desolation of Smaug left me a little cold (apart from Smaug and that brilliant barrel sequence). Here’s hoping The Battle of the Five Armies strikes that balance of brilliant action sequences and tender character moments that Jackson has been able to achieve in his previous films.
We’ll find out when The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies hits theaters December 17th. Check out the new poster above and the new trailer below.
