‘The Raid’ To Become A Trilogy, ‘The Raid 3’ First Details Announced
Gareth Evans’ The Raid: Redemption was an awesome, ass-kicking good time that left action fans begging for more. Thankfully we won’t have to wait long because The Raid 2 will be released upon us March of this year. Know what’s even better than a sequel? The series has been planned as a trilogy from the very beginning, and we have some details on The Raid 3 to share.
The filmmaker shared some details on Twitter about the third film, and it looks like there is going to be some interesting overlap with part two. Director Gareth Evans teased; “The Raid 2 takes place two hours after the first, The Raid 3 would start two hours before The Raid 2 ends.” It seems like the narrative for this series is going to move at a breakneck pace.
The Raid 2 hits theaters on March 28, 2014, and as always we will keep you updated on the trilogy as more information is provided. The first film was the definition of bad-ass, so lets hope that these sequels can live up to the originals legacy.
