Fresh on the heels of The Walking Dead‘s devastating mid-season finale Sunday night, the powers at be over at AMC have released more concrete information about the show’s currently-in-the-works companion series.
The spin-off, currently being referred to as Cobalt, has officially cast its first two actors, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey. Dillane is best known for his portrayal of young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince while Debnam Carey recently made her stateside debut in Into the Storm.
As we’ve previously reported, the series is set to take place in the same zombie apocalypse as The Walking Dead, albeit in a different location. The series has recently been said to revolve around a divorced male teacher and a female guidance counselor, and with this casting news has come reports that Dillane and Debnam Carey will be playing the woman’s son & daughter respectively, with Dillane’s character fighting a drug addiction.
