It’s been another disappointing Halloween season as far as new horror releases go, but a new red-band trailer has dropped for a horror-comedy that may appeal to some of us fanatics.

Freaks of Nature is a horror-comedy flick that comes from a script written by Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) that made The Black List (which lists Hollywood’s best unproduced screenplays) back in 2011 and is now making its way to screens under the helm of director Robbie Pickering (Natural Selection).

While this red-band trailer certainly doesn’t hold back on the blood and guts, it remains to be seen whether the spirit of Uziel’s widely praised script was lost in translation, or whether Hollywood just has a really odd sense of humor.

Audiences will find out when Freaks of Nature is released October 30th. Check out the trailer below.
